cut the rear rubber spring mount (holder) above the spring to adjust
height. Gsedan35 i believe was the first to try this.

You cut the rubber spring mount to lower the car a bit more and even out the front and the rear

no need to do it with s techs. s techs already provide a perfect drop.

I almost cut the spring mounts last week. After I took it out I noticed that the spring mounts have a thin metal plate to keep rubber in a good shape or not to flex when springs are sitting on...I think. I'm sure Nissan made that plate in rubber spring mounts for some reasons so I didn't cut them.

There is a metal plate there on flat side of spring mount (not cone side). The spring mount looks like all rubber but it actually has metal inside that acts like a bone...I think.

Sorry man, it's a little delay for replying...

I don't know how to photoshop the pictures so that's top notch work I can do...lol

The red color was the area that I was talking about. The metal plate was cover by thin layer of rubber so it looks like pure rubber. But if you poke a pin around it then you'll feel there is a metal plate there.

By viewing from the side of that red one (Flat area on top and cone on the bottom):

-------------------------------/
Thin layer of rubber
-----------------------------/
Metal plate
---------------------------/
All rubber to the bottom
-------------------------/
-------------------/
--------------/
----------/
-------/
-----/

Are you with me? lol

The plate doesn't really matter since the springmount sits up against a flat metal piece anyways, there is no way for it to get distorted once installed
