Don't feel bad, you are not alone. I had 10K miles but one year and five days had elapsed since I bought the car, so they made me pay because it was 5 days after the 12 month warranty period. It cost me $108, but the a$$ wipes lost a customer. I will never use JBA Infiniti for any type of service ever again. (Since they lost my valet key and were suppose to call me when they received a blank to make it. It has been over a year and a half and they never called)

Remember the extreme wide oem alignment parameters are designed to minimize warranty costs, therefore the perfect alignment is at the exact misdpoint of each range.

Life time warranty just set inside the range and say it's perfect.

Alignment is a car cost you will have every 6 months for the rest of your life. just as 90 day oil changes and tire balancing and rotation.

I have never done alignments more frequent than once a year and never had problems (I've been driving a LONG time) unless you had an accident, hit a bad pothole, hit a curb hard, etc. ... I think 6 mos. is over the top. Personal choice.
But right on about having it done correctly and not just thrown into spec. by most chain shops.

It's only a good deal if they actually adjust something or if they set it correctly. Before and after computer print outs.

Exactamundo! And if they made adjustments equal for each side where possible. Somehow taking a G to Firestone reminds me of taking a $5000 Plasma TV to Radio Shack for repair.

My expert alignment guy is 50 miles from my home and I consider it an honor to tip him $20 and pay $69 for an alignment where he spends 55 minutes instead of the usual 20 minutes.

However I have adjustable pieces for camber and caster so perfection with me sitting behind the wheel is the order of the day.

If you weren't in Georgia I'd swear we had the same guy!
