Wheel bearing SHOT at 3,ooo miles!wtf
The wheel bearings are part of the drivetrain right? So it would be covered under the 6yr 70k mile warranty?
I think mine are messed up. My rotors "seemed" warped as they had 0.008" runout (felt shimmy in the brake pedal under heavy braking). So I bought new ones, installed them, and they too had about the same amount of runout!!?
I even cleaned off the surface on the Wheel hub so it's got to be the "wheel hub and bearing assembly" right? Although mine doesn't exhibit any noise, wobble or anything.

My '04 X has 123k miles on it. Road noise from bearings is significant. Rear bearings, with labor: $736. Have another on the front/passenger that also makes noise: $593.
Dealer told me these bearing issues are not uncommon through 06 models.
