Tein CS coilovers - Rattles are gone!
I installed the Tein CS on my 04 coupe 6MT in the fall of 2005, since the intial install as most ppl have complained I had the following too: rattles, clunking, (odd squeaking in cold weather) in the rear.
I checked it many times in the first few months & the annoying noises would not dissappear, however they were somewhat tolerable. After being on this forum, I discovered many of you had the same issues (at least ppl with the basic, flex etc) so I decided to let it be....
After a year the rattles actually got worse & the squeaks too! At this point I complained to Tein USA - spoke to Paul (tech dept) and he said it was a common problems with the G35, something to do with the shims. I was advised to send the rear shocks back for warranty repair, which was then shipped to Japan.
After 2 months I just got my shocks back today & installed. The very good news....no rattles, clunks or noises....ABSOLUTELY SILENT!!
If any of have at least the Type CS like me, complain & they will fix the problem.
It makes a world of a difference with no more rattles in the rear...
Cheers!
