Rubbing Question

If I put my 19x9.5 with a 40 offset rims on in the back on stock suspension for now with a 275/35/19 tire will it rub? The only reason I'm asking is it looks like its going to be a few weeks till my mechanic can get my unrevised put on. So i figured until then I could run my new rims till I get that done but I don't want to screw my tires or rims up by rubbing. I called around to a few places including the stealership and they want 6 hrs to do the springs. Ive thought about trying them myself but Ive never done anything like that before and it seems a little to complicated. I got a quote of 160 to roll both back fenders but I cant get in till monday so.. 2 hrs total they said to do it. Thanks

I dont see why you would have a problem if you are not lowering it but I am not 100% positive. Hopefully someone that has done this will chime in.

I cant wait to see what the wheels look like

You are not going to rub. It doesn't take 6hrs to install springs they are full of it. The front springs install is the most complicated and dangerous there's a special machine (can't think of the name) that is used to compress the front springs on the shock. During this part of the install the technician can not have anyone around him. I recommend you find a shop that does alignments they usually install springs as well. Rolling the fenders seems pretty easy after reading over the DIY accordfreak posted.

lol Perry... a "spring compressor"

Buckeye: you wont rub at all, the car will be too high off the ground and away from the tires to even come close. It takes me an hour to do a front and rear spring install on the G with a spring compressor and a lift, granted i've done it 6 or 7 times but still... 6 hours!?!?!

wtf?? where are you taking your car?? 6 hours for spring install? 2 hours to roll the fender?? They should only be charging 2 hours of labor for the spring install and an hour for the fender rolling. Save yourself some money and roll the fenders yourself by following 'accordfreak' DIY guide he posted last month.

Well I called the stealership and they told me 6 hrs and another place told me 6 hrs and that same place told me 2 hrs for the fenders. Im going to just use accords DIY and wait onmy neighbor to get time from his side work so we can do my springs. All hes gonna charge me is a case of beer.

Ok well I found a guy on a local race forum that works for NTB and he does side work and told me that Mitchell says 3.4 hrs for the springs and said he would charge me like $150 for the install. So I think ill go with him and he can get me a good price on my alignment and mounting and balancing of my new wheels as soon as my tires come in.
