06 6mt TOO HARSH AND NOISY!!! HELP
I can't stand it anymore. Seriously I feel so stupid buying this car. I don't want to spend anymore money on this car except just to make it comfortable since I will be driving the car for the next 4 years. I want a smoother ride the suspension is to harsh along with less road noise. The transmission absolutely sucks on this car also but I'll just live with that.
Please anyone what can I do. springs and shocks?? what kind? Which tires for the 19s that I have?? I would like a all season tire since they will be quiet but can't find sizes that match.. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

uuuhhh. most persons who purchase the 6 m/t feel the opposite of you. I didn't like the way my coupe handled until I installed firmer nismo suspensions. Anywhos it's usually a good idea to engage in due diligence and research before you make such a big purchase. But geez, I mean ur driving a G, b happy!
What all of you say are true that is why I wrote in my post that I felt stupid buying this car. I have a bmw 335i coupe and you wouldn't believe how comfortable a car can be that handles far superior than a G without all the discomforts. I can't explain the G just isn't a balanced car with road noise, harsh yet wobbly at times, along with the horrible 6mt makes driving experience horrible to ME. This car is just a daily driver to me and I just want to make it decently comfortable. I do not want to switch out the 19s but just the springs shocks and tires. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Easiest way would probably go to 18's or even 17's if they fit. You will get a higher profile tire and a smoother ride, plus have the option of going all season. 19" all seasons will be very tough to find.
It will be FAR easier to do this than to swap out springs/shocks for a softer ride (I'll bet many of the aftermarket springs/shocks are stiffer)
That said, why did you buy the car if you didn't see these issues when you test drove it? Or why don't you drive the 335 daily?

you got the wrong car. you can un-sport it by going with the regular suspension with 17's or 18's which defeats the whole purpose of getting the MT. you could swap suspensions with a sedan. the sedan guys love the drop with coupe springs and look of the 19's
Hmm its weird, when I got the car, I did test drive it a few times and it felt pretty good. I don't know maybe its because I drive the 335i now and than driving the g35 feels like crap. Seriously though the car feels so sloppy in everything compared to when it was new and I only have 17000miles.

Harsh? I guess we have completely different views, because my 06 Coupe Sport Suspension with OEM 19's feels a bit soft for me. Time to add some coilovers, sways, and wider wheels
As far as to resolve your problem, I think your better off selling the car.
Goodluck either way.

Wait, hold on!
Quick thought:
Why did you get the car in the first place? Didn't you test drive the car before buying it?
I can't see why someone would buy a car they don't feel comfortable with in the first place.
Once again, hope everything works out with you and the car.
