Hey guys,
Not sure if this is the appropriate section to ask this, but mods are welcome to move this as necessary...
Anyway I know some of you guys have lowered your ride and some to a significant point where shops arent able to put your car on their lift and/or drive up their ramp for servicing...
What methods have you used to get your car on the lifts/ramps to avoid scratching the front lip and side skirts? some have said to use 2x4's and other say something else... Can anyone show me pics of what they use to help raise up the car in order to get on the lift/ramp? Im kind of lost on this and cant grasp a mental picture of how this is done
Thanks in advance!!

Use a jack and lift the rear of the car for these...

You'll need a ramp for the others...

exactly what you said. put some 2x4 in front of you and just drive up on it to give you enough clearance to jack it up.

Using 2x4 would be the easier way...At least that's what my performace shop does to my car whenever i am there.
Hope the pic helps...

^yeah that pic definitely helps!! Thanks!!
but when you drive on to those 2x4's, they dont slide? or get pushed forward?
I guess you just have to drive on it fast enough, but not too fast to go past them lol
Thanks again guys... more ideas and pics are welcome

Well for me I with the ings skirts, i can't even fit a jack under it. So at home when I'm doing oil changes I usually put a 45lb plate and drive over it, then use a jack to get it higher. The shop I go to has this low rubber ramps, kinda like the rhino ramps, but lower. Think they are made by a company called fujita, or fukuda can't remember. Thought about buying them but thier like 80-100 for a pair.
anyone else got ideas or suggestions on how to get on alignment ramps?
12' 2x8's on each side of the rack is what i use. I put other pieces of wood underneath the long 2x8's so they dont flex and break when you drive the car up them. Works like a charm every time and i've used em for the LOWEST of cars.
i'll get some pics of it tomorrow if i can.
