Painting Aftermarket Rims

what up fellas. has anybody painted rims. the rims i want don't come in the finish i want. so i was thinking of buying them and having them painted. do you guys think that it would look good or would it be obvious that they were painted?

lots of people lift the faces off their multipiece wheels and have them painted/powdercoated. as long as you take it to someone who knows what he or she is doing, then you're good to go.

many people paint there wheels, they dont need to be multi pieced to do it either but that makes it easy

thaks guys. now i just gotta figure out how to get the paint code of the exact color i want.

i think it's mercury silver. volk gt-force. g-thizzle is selling these, they are powdercoated now.

i just want a reflective silver. it doesnt have to be that exact color.

A shop likely won't be able to replicate mercury silver as it is a special finishing process that uses a black basecoat with a translucent silver topcoat. The finish appears silver, but without any flake, like most automotive silver finishes. I think our closest color for volks are the spark silver, which is a metallic silver finish with flakes in the paint. If you are okay with that, then the shop shouldn't have any problems painting them that color.
