Brake Calipers Painted
Brake Calipers Painted
For those of you in the Los Angeles Area (San Fernando Valley) who are interested in getting your calipers painted, there is a great shop I went to that does an excellent job for an affordable price. If you dont have $2,000-$4,000 to spend on a new brake system but want a similar look, this is definitely a great alternative. The place is called Kenny's Tires and is on Sherman Way, just west of Reseda. It is on the south side of the street. If anyone is seriously interested, post a reply and I will post the phone number and exact address. Just call and ask for Sara, she will give you pricing, just tell her Brian with the Black G35 sent you. I believe its about $100, and for that you get all your calipers painted, along with a complete rotor and pad cleaning. They can do whatever color you want, apparently some girl wanted her H2's calipers hot pink, and they did. They also do wheels, tires, lowering kits, powder coating etc. In fact they also sent out Rob Dyrdrek's "Murdered Out" Tahoe to get painted in Flat Black. Anyways, here is a picture of my painted stock calipers for reference.

Yep looks like the pads are painted. I have always thought about if pads could be painted since I have Project Mu NS pads and those are icky teal colored. I was hoping enough dirt would cover up the color.
good idea for those who don't wanna spend big bucks, but i would never want to intentionally show off or bring more attention to the tiny stock (non-brembo) calipers. if i painted them, i'd paint them black..
