Coupe Springs on Sedan

before i get flamed for this i wana say that ive searched my bottom off and cant find the exact information im looking for.

my friend has an 04 coupe dropped on h&r springs with a camber kit that i dont know that brand of yet. my question is will those springs drop my car more than they drop the coupe or less??? if more its a problem cuz his ride is pretty low as it is. and finally, will the camber kit fit? im assuming yes.

So that you get very clear answers and don't get led down the wrong path. Hope you don't mind the rewrite above.

1. More.

Back in 04 I helped a sedan owner here install oem coupe springs and Tokico D-specs. I took height measurments as described in the FSM so that this community could know how much drop they might get if they did the same oem swap. That is how we know that coupe springs drop a additional 1/2". This mean's that if any aftermarket spring ment for the Coupe is installed on a sedan, you will get a additional 1/2" of drop vs the published numbers that the spring maker lists for the coupe. H&R say's that their G35 coupe springs drop the coupe -1.1"/-1". Adding in the 1/2" differance means they will drop your sedan -1.6"/-1.5"

2. See 1 above

3. Yes and,.....The following numbers are directly off a alignment scan of mine after I had the car aligned with a 1"/1" drop on a oem 350Z suspension, date is 6/04, though I had been running the setup for some time at that point.
Front camber
right -1 degree
left -1.4 degree

FSM for the sedan lists the max front camber spec as -.83 degree's.

In the rear, I had the shop set me the the max negitive camber they could dial in and still have my desired min amount of toe in.
Rear camber (remember by choice)
right -1.3
left -1.3

FSM for the sedan lists the max rear camber spec as -1.08

Since I was pretty much maxed out to GIVE me negitive rear camber, I'd think that had I wanted rear camber dialed out, I should have been able to get within oem rear specs if I had wanted to.

Since my alignment experience at a 1" drop wasn't that far out of spec, I've never recommended camber correction at that drop. Going even lower however does change things. G35 coupes do have different more aggresive camber specs, 350Z even more so.
