Tanabe vs Tein

I'm about to buy some coilovers for my 06 coupe and I what some that are adjustable. I'm looking at four different ones. The Tein Flex or Mono Flex w/EDFC and the Tanabe Sustec Pro Seven or Pro Five w/TEAS.

I autox once a month and to the track a couple of times a year and am looking for a good coilover but still be good for DD.

What are your thoughts? If you have any of the above, how is the ride for DD when set on a softer setting?

Thanks for the advise

Based on what you want to do, avoid the Five and Seven setup unless your willing to raid the Tanabe corporate parts bin for linear springs, both come out of the box with progressive rear springs. Tanabe's valving setup look's interesting and having the TEAS system adjust dampning based on vehicle speed looks the same. Tein counter's Tanabe's valving system with the M.S.V. valving system with the Mono flex. Amoung your choices I would opt for the Mono flex, but I would also spend $150 extra for 12Kg rear springs in place of the 14Kg rear's it comes with. Review's are a mixed bag, some will say that you get a "like oem ride quality", other's will say even at the softest setting that it's too harsh. Their are a few Mono flex review's on my350Z, two come to mind that if I was you I'd find and pm the authors. IIRC, I have only seen 2 Tanabe Seven review's, both on my350. You might even get lucky and someone with the setup lives close to you for a ride along.

Thanks for the reply Gsedan35. According to the Tanabe website the springs on the 7 an 5 are linear, not progressive. The 7 comes with a 10Kg and they have a drive hard version that comes with a 12Kg. I don't think I what to go with anything harder than 10Kg since my car is a DD. The Tein Mono flex comes with a 14Kg and I would what to change them out but again as a DD I think 12Kg is to stiff.

I know someone who has a friend that has the Sevens on his G so I hope I can somehow get a ride before I buy.
