Suspension Set-Up

can someone post up a good suspension set-up that will lower my car around 1.5-2.0 inches. i know you have to have more than jus springs, so can someone please post a good set-up that? please stay within Nissan parts so it doesnt break warrenty if possible. i know you can mod your car wit any parts and itll still be under warrenty until proven that the mod you got messed up your car, but i jus want to stay within Nissan parts cuz my sales person said anythin nissan wont break warrenty. thanks

the only nissan part that you can use to achieve this and not break warranty is to get a Nismo S-tune suspension.

what else would i need to get along wit the nismo s-tune suspension? cuz i heard you cant jus get springs for your G cuz if you jus install springs, then eventually itll wear out your other stock parts since they dont go together.

also.. what other set up is a nice full suspension setup for the G (any parts just looking for a good set up) to drop it around... 1.5-2.0

just wondering cuz i heard if i get springs, i also need spacers? and possibly other things

With the nismo s-tune suspension, i would also install camber kits if youre worried about tire wear. The nismo s-tune suspension replaces both the shocks and springs so you dont have to worry about the shock and spring not going together. I have the nismo s-tune suspension off of a Z, drops the car about 1.3"-1.5"

so i could just instal the nismo s-tune suspension and dont have to touch anything else and wont have to worry about anything messing up in the long run?

also... do you have any pics of your car on this part along wit the height drop

check out the sway bar sticky too.

depending on your alignment you may need a front and/or rear camber kit.

and now after:

gap up front:

gap in the back:

hope that helps. Like i said, i installed a rear camber kit to get my rear tires alignment back into spec. the fronts were within spec except the camber, which was i believe at -2.5 degrees but the toe was within spec so i opted not to get a front camber kit

I wouldn't want to lower it more than 1" so I guess Nismo might be right for me.

Their is the G35 coupe S-tune, which I'd think would be much harder to find and their is the much more common 350Z S-tune which show's up on ebay on a regular basis for $1200.

Nismo S-tune (twin tube construction, uses progressive springs)
350Z .8"/.8" drop
Spring rates 448/504
If run on a G35 coupe drop should be 1.3"/1.3"

Nismo S-tune
G35 Coupe .8"/.8"
448/504

Based on what you could end up buying in a shock and spring setup, the Nismo S-tune is a far superior choice, their several select coilover choices would be better still. Given what your want and your desire to maintain a warranty on the suspension, it's your best choice. Keep in mind that it does have to be installed by a Nissan or Infiniti dealer to maintain that warranty, which can be read on Nissan's Nismo site.

You can alway's tape measure the wheel arch height as described in the factory service manuel and compare. If you are not on oem tires, you'll need to adjust for differances in rolling diameters vs oem rolling diameters.
