Installing Tein Basics and Rear Camber Arms

Should I DIY this I hear its some what a pain. I called a shop here in PHX and the guy wanted 400$ for install and alignment (this was a recommended shop)...

Installing coilovers IMO is very simple and easier to install than springs. The hardest part is usually the front since you need a spring compressor, but not so with coilovers so it should relatively straight forward. You can install the rear camber arms at the same time too so it doesn't take that much longer. If you have toe bolts to install also, have a dremel with a high speed cutting bit ready, but other than that its DIY

yes it is very easy as redlude said but it also depends on how mechanical and what tools u have. will need jack, stands, at least a ratchet set and wrenches.

I plan on using this guide:
http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Rear_...d_Installation

here is the front:
http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Front...d_Installation

I need to find a way to get ahold of a jack and stands and you can borrow a torque wrench from autozone.

You've got two good guides. I'd DIY and just pay for the alignment. It's realy not that hard providing you have the right tools, some liquid wrench and patience.

i guess it depends how old your car is. If your cars got some miles on it you might want to consider power tools.

i can't seem to find any instructions on how to do the rear. drifsu1 had a diy but one of the pics don't work. can anyone takes some pics so i can grow some cahones to do the rears? seems like it would be super easy, but i just need some pics.

also how do you adjust the height. i was reading teins instructions bit didn't help without pics. i'm a visual learner as you all can tell.

Here's an install: http://g35nyc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=470

I posted in the suspension DIY thread also.

So for the basics in the rear, the spring does not go over the shock correct? They retain the stock locations of shock and spring.

I installed m tein basic's and camber kits in my garage. Air tools helped but were not needed. The rear install is simple it should only take 15 to 20 minutes per side. The front was a little tricky, took 30 to 45 per side. Good luck.
