Tire Pressure Monitor ????

Newb question. How much pressure does a tire have to lose before it sets off the Tire Pressure Monitor warning light? The warning light on my wives 06 coupe went off this morning and I found one tire about 4 psi low. I filled all the tires to the same pressure and it is still on. Does it take a little while for the light to reset?

I Think It Comes On At 30 Psi After You Put Air In The Tires It Takes 5 To 10 Min To Turn Off

Tires should be at minimum 35psi (Check the sticker on the door jam)...the tpms light should go away within 1/4 mile.

Mine went off at 22-23psi.

As said...light will eventually go out after psi's are back up and drive awhile.

35psi cold is the correct amount.

should come on at 27 PSI with a nominal pressure system of 35 PSI.

Your guage could be inaccurate. Try another one & see if you get the same readings.

Yes...at times the tpms will alarm in the morning and go away by noon due to the warmer temp and pressure building up. That's why it's best to check the tire's pressure the first thing in the morning before any driving.

Yes. We can get some quick moving low pressure systems thru here, and every time my sensors have gone off has been just after one of those storms. I was usually at about 30 psi in one or two tires.
