Tokico HP Shocks

I searched and only found information on the D-Specs. Anybody know anything about the Tokico HP Shocks? They're a lot cheaper than the D-Specs. The reason I want them is because I just bought some new springs and I heard the stock stucts and shocks would give out with aftermarket springs.

Tokico HP series is their version of a low cost oem replacement shock. They are usually roughly equal to oem in stiffness [maybe a little stiffer when brand new but decline as fast or faster than oem after 3-4 years].

What shock would you recommend that isn't too expensive? I'm looking more towards ride comfort.

I wanted to find non-adjustable ones, as I wouldn't know what to do with them. Plus they are really expensive.

I just ordered the H-Techs. How hard is it to fiddle with the D-Specs. Could I just tell the machanic I want a soft ride and that be the end of it?

Yea, you could do that, but your *** might hurt if he doesn't use enough lube.

you can adjust d specs yourself. you will need to buy extensions for the rears and do a slight mod to access them from the rear deck. the fronts are easy to adjust. you just turn a **** on the strut tower.
