Does anybody speak from personal experience here? G will fall apart on the track before drilled disks would crack. On race prepped car-possibly.
You'll be fine, I used xdrilled on 3 cars, all of them were on the track and no problems whatsoever.
But if you wanna really be cool go for "fishhook" pattern, this is what Super Touring cars are running these days.

I've always run crossdrilled/slotted with no problems. Love the look, and they've held up great even after repeated autox use. You CAN turn or resurface rotors. It just takes a slightly more skilled tech with a little more patience than on a plain blank rotor.

IMHO Auto-x doesn't comare to the heat generated on road race type track

My Centric brand rotors cracked, but it was after a track day (4 runs x 20 minutes each) and these were cheap rotors. https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension/176647-dba-rotors.html

In retrospect, my guess is they would probably be OK for daily driver use. owever, if one was to crack, you might not ever see it until too late. But has anyone ever read a thread where some rotors failed in a street application and they blew their wheel off and crashed? I haven't. But I don't want to buy new rotors if they do start cracking either.

For me personally, I will not be using cross-drilled unless it is a known reputable brand such as Brembo or Stoptech etc. I will pretty much be using slotted, I don't think the gains (if any) from drilled are worth any chance of failure. They look nice though...

And how many people that posted their "opinion" in this thread actually hit the track with any regularity (including you and I)? Not very many, if any at all...

Cool

I track (road course) my G at HPDE type events 3-4 times per year.

It is only if you get them super hot for extended periods, that you have to worry about cracking.

I went with slotted & DIMPLED for more resistance to cracking.

You get the same look but more strength.

Does quarterly count as 'regularity'?

You're just further proving my point. This still falls right into the "not very many" classification I stated earlier.

Well I think running every few months, and swapping out equipment is worthy enough to post in this thread...

That is a pretty hot setup I just might go with the slotted and dimpled combo.
