just a little rant.. i installed my 350z unrevised setup (shocks/springs) and my car now rides like absolute crap. done some of my research in the forums and sounds like the unrevised shocks are the culprit.

now, im planning to order 350z KYB shocks for my sedan. from what i understand the rears are supposed to be really bad. im planning on just swapping the rears with 350z KYBs and see if it helps at all. besides the fact that im lazy and i hate taking the front suspension out, im just gonna do the rears cuz im being cheap and its only like 3 bolts on each shock.


FYI: tirerack.com has the KYBs for pretty cheap.

Sorry to hear man, I wentwith revized on my 03 and love the ride with z/coupe springs.

i put the unrevised springs and the ride is the same as stock. it is the shocks thats why they revised them

the shocks do the job... but see if the revised ones give u a better ride.

Revised here, and lovin' it. Only irk, my front springs' topmost coils grind on themselves... need to get some rubber sleeves.

Ive got unrevised on G springs and it rides the same. See if you can get ahold of some stock sport springs pretty cheap.

im gonna just order the shocks... just came back from a drive and it was bothering the crap out of me.

now the only question i have is... should i order the 350z/g35 sport suspension shocks or the g35 shocks. KYB has 2 part numbers one for the 350z/ss g35 and for the base model g35. i figured since im running the shorter springs, is it better to run the shorter 350z shocks so im not losing any shock travel.

any input on this?

wheres the best place to buy a full revised 350z suspension?? Are yall buying from the dealerships???!?

Does your G35 have the Sport package? If not, you non-sport dampers are not up to the task of handling the increased spring rates. You'll get a very harsh ride if you're dampers aren't up to the task of controlling the spring movement. Additionally, I strongly suggest sourcing out a set of coupe springs and putting them on the rear. The ride will improve. Trust me.

ive got the full setup shocks and springs from a 350z unrevised. im pretty much set on ordering the 350z kyb shocks.

from what ive learned for my sedan

after i bought h&r lowering springs made for a 350z..

i would have to get shocks made for a 350z for the spring rate to be effective
and give the intended ride

since the regular g shocks are longer than z shocks
they will not work correctly with an already lower 350z spring ..


ive yet to put them on my ride but ..
i got the 350z tokico d-specs shock set which is adjustable
to go with the 350z h&r lowering springs ..

What do you mean by it rides like crap? I put on an unrevised setup and mine too rides like crap. When I say crap I mean that it bounces all over the place whenever I hit a dip in the road. I am not sure if it is just the front or back. Let us know if the shocks change the feel.

the adjustable tokico d-spec shocks should do the job. You can make the stiffer and softer to what you prefer.
