Depends where you get them from. I have seen some sponsers sell them as low as mid-700's shipped, and some get up there in the high 800's USD.

I suggest you PM our sponsers. They will usually give you the best prices around

Not to go OT on your thread, but I cant decide if I want to buy a set of basics, or get a set of springs. The coils are like 750-800$ and the springs are less than half that cost.

dude you can get Tein S-Techs for $150 shipped brand new, thats only a fraction of $800, you just gotta find a good deal on either Ebay or some of the sponsors.

NOOB questions...But dont you need a camber kit and some other things for springs? And dont they make the ride a LOT harder?

You can get springs for much less than half the price. I would never get springs over coilover setups, because im a performance freak.

Coilovers: Adjustable height, adjustable dampening (not available on the Tein Basics).

Srings: Just a drop, with minimal handling increase.

If all you're looking for is a drop, then maybe springs might be the better choice.

For a mild drop like the 350Z H-Techs, you don't really need a camber kit. It's always a plus to have them, even with a mild drop, but its not necessary.

For the S-Techs, which has a greater drop, it is recommended for you to get a camber kit atleast for the rear. The front camber kit is significantly more expensive than the rear kit.

On coilovers, it all depends on how much you drop it.

You won't notice a difference in stiffness with Tein H-Tech/S-Tech springs.

but i heard from my frds that
Springs...will blow ur shocks??? over a period of time???
and plus our cars are pretty heavy???
it would cost more to fix or get new parts then coils (basics, cuz they cheap..=D) after u blow ur shocks ????

well it kinda make sense to me...
so im scare to get H/S tech...=(

Never heard of that. I wouldn't worry about that at all.

Is your friend a credible source? What car does he drive?

he drives a TSX
and my other frd works in a garage...
they both told me not to get springs...since vancouver have crappy roads..
and they said they last longer than springs..

Ching, the reason your friends are telling you not to get tein springs is EXACTLY the reason you should get them! I just installed my tein s-tech last week, and they are noticeably smoother while driving around vancouver than OEM springs. I like them a lot better than OEM, they're softer so going over bumps and potholes is a lot nicer now. The OEM's were annoyingly stiff and way too harsh for a luxury coupe, I still have a hard time believing that some idiot at Nissan actually approved them for a LUXURY coupe. On the other hand I also had tein basics layin around in my garage along with the stechs for almost 2 months now, i just sold the basics because im going with tokico d-specs in the summer time, they're more adjustable than basics, you can adjust the stiffness from hard to soft with a little button ****. I think by then my OEM struts are gonna have taken a pretty bad beating from the softer teins, so yea your friends ARE right when they say OEM struts break down after a while with aftermarket springs, it's just a matter of time. Just come out to our next meet we're having soon and hop in our cars take a ride around and see how much of a difference aftermarket springs and struts are than OEM, and donot521 you better come out too buddy, check g35.ca for details of the meet, Ching started a thread thats about 4 pages long now about a g35 meet and it looks like most of us are coming out.
