Upgrade To Sport Springs?

So I was installing my Tein S tech springs this weekend but ran into a problem with the front struts. I got the strut off of the car and then compressed the spring. To my suprise the threads on the top of the struts shaft is rusted! Well I used WD40 and alot of elbow grease and wrenchs to take off the nut but failed. So since the nut wouldn't come off I decided to tighten it back down. WHAT THE HECK! It wouldnt budge. So I decided I will just replace the struts.

Now my question for you all is it worth it to get the sport struts or all around for the $600. Or should I just replace the front struts with OEM. Keep in mind I will be installing the Tein S Tech springs with them.

PS I think you will all be amazed as to see how well my rear tires tuck with my 275/35/19 toyos on 9.5 inch wide with a 34 offset rims.

Which s-tech springs are you using? G35S/G35C/350z? IMO, you should upgrade to coupe shocks or revised 350z shocks

I was not asking about the car, I was asking about which s-tech springs you purchased. That makes a difference because the springrates are different depending on the application

go with z-shocks no matter what the springs are for. If it is for 350z, U might as well go with coilovers instead of buying new aftermarket shocks. If it is for G35 coupe or sedan z-shocks will last u for a whilleeeee. And no $600 is too high for shocks. I got z-shocks with 10k on them for $50 3 years ago and they are still holding up like new after 50k miles on them.

For better dampening and control so your springs don't bounce all over the place?

Only problem with Koni, is they dont have dampening control, only rebound. If you want aftermarket, and since you dont have awd. Tokico would do just fine.
Just my 2 cents.

Also your rears are a +24. I thought when you first got them you said they were a +35.

The dampening isn't adjustable on the basics, IMO dampening adjustment>>>>>height adjustment if you are actually concerned with performance. A good set of spring combined with d-specs or konis will outhandle a cheap set of coilovers any day of the week

Ok since I have the Tein S tech springs and rear wheel drive I guess I will just get the Koni shocks? I am not too intrested in adjusting anything when it comes to my suspension. I just want to be able to get in my car and drive without having to worry about anything else. Thus a fair balance between fun and reliable.

No, you should get the tokico d-specs. The Konis are valved for use with much stiffer springs than any of the s-techs. You still haven't told us which s-techs you are using either
