CanBrembro brake pads be replaced with Hawk brake pads?
CanBrembro brake pads be replaced with Hawk brake pads?
Hey guys just had a quick question to ask, I have a 2004 g35 coupe 6mt with the brembro set up and i need new breakes and was wondering if the hawk pads will fit inside the brembro calipers?
Brembro & Hawk......!
Hawk makes brake pads that are Brembro spacific and are sold by many of
our sponsors here on Driver at a good price. Do "NOT" forget to do the
brake in process once they're installed, very important so you don't have
issues with noise/squeeks etc!

^^Hawk pad brake in procedure:
1. After reaching medium speed engage brake pedal to slow car without coming to a complete stop. Release pedal quickly and do not drag brakes. Repeat four or five times.
2. At higher speeds engage brake pedal to slow car without coming to a complete stop. Release pedal quickly and do not drag brakes. Repeat five times.
3. At or near race speed engage brake pedal to slow car without coming to a complete stop. Release pedal quickly and do not drag brakes. Repeat three times. Allow a few seconds between brake engagements while car is in motion.
4. Do not hold brake pedal. Park car for approximately 20 minutes or until brake rotors are completely cool to the touch.
5. If during the above steps the brake pedal becomes soft or brake fade is noticed, park the car immediately for approximately 20 minutes. Do not hold brake pedal.

I dont know how some 'brake' their cars but i prefer the hawks over the axxis. i actually have a set of axxis that came with the stoptech stage 2's that i used for about a week. i haven't tracked the car yet, so i don't know how they perform at the limit. i do know they work better than the stock brembo pads and they have minimal dust.

I have the axxis and they have no initial bite at all... yes they do dust less than OEM brembo but they are just as noisy and have horrible initial bite.... I Just installed ocautosports cross drilled/slotted rotors and am waiting on my Project U NS pads to come.. (backordered)
from the reviews on here, I think they are the best you will do all around ex
rice, bite, dust, noise.. I would look around before you go with hawk... a few people have reviewed those pads in detail, and they felt that they had insufficient bite during cold and wet weather... good luck
FYI: mynismo.com has the project mu for the best price.. 155.00 front and rear pads shipped... great deal

As far as Hawks I hear positives and negatives, but I have yet to hear anything bad about Project Mu pads - next to no dust, no noise, great pad life, great initial bite, resist fading well.
