Painting of calipers??
I think painting stock calipers is fine, I dont know what you all are complaining about. You just have to paint it in a modest color, something close to the stock color. Dont paint it red or blue or something bright like that. Plus painting calipers is real cheap, fast, and easy. I say paint your caliper while you save up for aftermarket ones. I recently painted my moms calipers on her porsche since it was worn out. THe original color was black, but it started to look gray, so i painted it black again and looks great.
If you just paint your stock calipers black or grey, I think it would look good. But I wouldnt paint calipers on a new car, I would wait for them to be worn a bit.

I hate the look of painted stock calipers, especially a color like red or blue. The caliper just doesn't look good.
I wouldn't mind having my oem calipers some sort of satin black, but it seems like its hard to get a finish like that. I would hate to have gloss black stock calipers.
