I don't believe that is correct. Since both sides are connected to wheels that are both lowered, there shouldn't be any more tension on the endlinks that if the vehicle is at stock height. The sway bar endlinks are only under tension when one side of the vehicle is compressed differently than the other, such as when cornering.

But correct me if I'm wrong.

nah, there's still pre-load at a hault(after a drop). the OEM's become too long.

I'm not totally doubting you, but if both sides are raised up from a drop....

I'll have to do an experiment when I replace mine. I've had them sitting on a shelf for over a year.

The endlinks are attached to the metal bracket that is attached to the frame. The actual swaybar is attached to the frame as well via bushings. So no matter how much u lower and raise the car the distance from the frame and any swaybar component will stay the same. You can not get any more perfect than OEM if the bar is installed correctly.

There seems to be some confusion about adjustable endlinks… lowering the car does negatively affect fixed length endlinks – adjustable allow the link to stay perpendicular and not cause binding of the ball joint.

This DIY vid explains briefly (starting at 1:20) http://www.infinitihelp.com/diy/gsed..._procedure.htm

I was on Pro Kit and OEM endlinks were angled – then dropped further on Sportlines (didn’t even bother to see what the OEM endlinks would be like on them because I new they would be way out-a-whack) – so I switched to adjustable – they were set to be as perpendicular as OEM would be at OEM height (however, I’m nearly 2” lower than OEM now).

The vid will help understand (obviously not my vid btw).

Fronts are attached to the control arm and that angle is affected by ride height:

it looks like the instalation on my front endlinks was not done correctly. That is the reason i never stopped having problem with them.

Jeff I was talking about the rear endlinks but you are right the front ones can be affected by the ride height.

I think the rears are also affected. The upper endlink mount is attached to the bottom portion of the upper A-arm. The lower A-arm houses the spring. If a lowering spring brings the upper/lower A arms any closer then I think the endlink length could be an issue.

Not really unless you always track the car

So went under to adjust the end links a bit, since the car got raised a bit and I wanted to make the bar more parallel to the ground when in normal position. Put the wrenches on to loosen the end link and pow... I got the PowerGrids and never touched them after installing them and having them professionally adjusted/checked soon after.

I hope I can get a replacement. And to all others: careful with these, apparently they can be a little fragile.

I have them on my car. I hope mine hold up better then that. Especially since they're not cheap.
