I've mentioned it before... end links like Powergrid, SLP, whiteline, etc can easily be made as DIY - you just need to know the lengths... I thought about getting the pieces before installing my Powergrid, but figured I already bought them; there is no benefit to making a set...

Anyway, you don’t need any special parts shop - there are many... I was going to use this place (which is local to me):

http://www.bakerprecision.com/rodspl.htm

If someone has a set of OEM laying around, I’m sure you cold use the specs from them and get the parts to make adjustable ones from places like Baker… maybe one of these days I’ll do that (but again, I already have Powergrid so there’s not much point for me to do it other than help others that want cheaper adjustable alternatives).

I've tried to price them out and I from what I remember, it wasn't that much cheaper. You have to source quite a few diff parts. That generic end link supply place isn't the same company that the pictures show. I can't remember right now but the company that one end link supplier uses is very specific. Not sure who Whiteline uses.

the place I linked above has quality parts - they are a performance oriented supplier... they have additional parts other than what they list on their site - and I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper to put a kit together than buy Powergrid (which are more expensive than the others).

The time savings and convenience of having the kit already together is why I bought Powergrid.

Unless they use a teflon lining and not the usual brass(which will start rattling after awhile), it's not the same as the other endlinks. The price on the same endlinks that at least some of the other quality end link users use is closer to $13.00 each from the one parts source I found.

I also found out the powergrids were THK but Idrive MD already mentioned it.

^^^ vague at best… but I expect nothing more…

I’ll eventually get the parts from Baker (just for the helluvit) – I already have endlinks that work fine, but they cost a boatload – a cheap alternative will be good for others. So I'll do the leg-work (when I have some time) and report back... I'm sure it will lead to much debate as usual.

Not sure what you mean by vague. Powergrids are more of a oem type sealed. THK would be the comparision for pricing. Haven't priced it.

Baker would be the comparision for the SPL type but again, Baker's aren't the same IMHO (as explained above).

So it looks like you're pricing out apples to replace oranges. Again IMHO
