I just swapped out my setup this past weekend. i went with used calipers, factory pads and adam's rotors (slotted). i also upgraded to SS brake lines.

my first impression on braking so far is highly positive. it took me a few minutes to adjust to the more responsive feel when hitting the brakes. when i first started driving the G, it took me a while to get used to the brakes which felt especially grabby, at least compared to the honda's that i drove before. it was a similar experience here. i'm guessing the brake feel might be attributed to the brake line upgrade for the most part.

You probably ran some non OEM pads on your old setup to help reduce the dust. But aftermarket pads for the 03s aren't as grabby. Since you are using the oem pads for your upgrade, you've just got back all of the world class 60-0 performance w/o the dust storm on your rims. OEM pads at least for the G/Z have been one of the best for cold brake performance.

Will all 2005+ G/Z, non-Brembo brakes work with my 2004 G?

Do I also need the caliper brackets from the 2005+? What other parts are necessary for the swap?

Can I use, for example, calipers from a 2005 G Sedan and rotors from a 2007 350Z? I might not be able to get all the parts from the same car.

A non-brembo 07 z should have the same size rotors. My rotors/calipers are off a 2006 350z

How about 2003, 2004, 2005+ 350Z? And it's only 2005+ G35?
