Man hard to tell. Too close for me to judge. With the 245s like I have, you'd be good. But with the 255s, I dunno. I "think" you would be okay with the coupe rears. You could aways put a thin spacer on the rear spring mount to gain a .25" if needed.

Here's a front shot. But I'm on 225-40-19s. I read that someone's running 245-40-19s on all corners and is okay.

Ok, one last question for you (and others)

which option and why?

what drop should I use in front to look the best with stock springs in rear?
A. 1" drop with Z springs
or
1/2" drop with coupe springs

B. Screw that, use Z springs front/AND G coupe rears
Thanks!

additional pics on page 6

**sorry for the thread-jack**

Oh that's why you gap looks so big. You're running 35 series rubber. In that case, I think you would be okay with coupe rears and Z fronts.

If the rears rub, it's easy to change springs. ie.. 20-40 min.

But I'd like to hear from someone else also.

Yeah, 35 series opened the window to better priced tires compared to stock, and the wider rear tires, coupled with the in-your-face rear offsets look really good in person..pics don't do justice.
before on 225mm tires
after 255 mm tires

I have 245/40's all around on mine and the rears almost rub. BUT my brakes have thicker hats and push the wheel out a few mm and I'm at -0.5 degrees of camber so they are almost flat. I think with a 255/35 and rolled fenders they should clear as long as you have a little negative camber.

I'm a camber noob, so will -.5 camber work, or -1.0 camber?

thanks for your input, I guess I need a shop that can install springs and do alignment with a free adjustment after the springs settle.

**yes the rear springs are easy, but I don't have the tools or time **

255's look SO much better than the 225s man. Love the stance on the rear. you just need a good drop and you'll get one serious lookin sedan

I am as well going with the same tire and sizes as texan1. Looks great. I am leaning towards the coupe 19's but also have another set of aftermarket wheels that I am still debating on if I want to drop more dough on. I am going to go with the Eibach pro kit for a 1 inch drop all around and I am pretty sure the rears will rub. However, I will have them rolled a bit and I should be good.

Texan1 go with the z/g drop.. or if you want something a little more aggressive.. eibach pro kit.

Texan1 i have -1.8 camber in the back and when people sit in it combined with s-techs springs my tire tucks inside the fender. Im running on 255/30/19 toyo t1rs right now in the rear and i have no issue with rubbing. Im pretty confident if u have more than -1.0 camber in the back u should easily fit 255/35/19s. As I told u earlier my next set is going to be 265/35/19-rear and 245/40/19 in the back.

cool, so how many degrees of negative camber does it take to make your neighbor's wife ask you if your wheel is broken (I don't want to field those questions)
I want to go less than that and you know, save the tires too.

Do I need a camber kit to run -1 or -1.5 camber.

thanks

But damn, the handling is night/day from the non-sport G sedan. Definately firmer. Not too bad. I'd say it's comparable to an E39 M3 that I drove. Handles REAL good now.

I might take the front Konis down to 1 turn from soft vs the 1.5 it's at now.

Didn't take any big bumps but no rubbing from the coupe 19s out back. For reference I'm on Coupe rears and Z fronts. But honestly, when I compared the coupe/Z rears, I didn't notice much diff in the heights.
Rattle = lower swaybar end link. Allen head gets loose and has to be tightened down with a 17mm or 19mm open end on the other side.

it is rougly 0.5 degrees over stock. Anything over -3 degrees is when it becomes notciable.

Here is a pic with -1.8 camber in the back.
