OEM brembo or aftermarket JBT BBK ???

so I was thinking to get a set of OEM brembo or those BBK like the JBT 6 pistons..but OEM brembo is gonna cost me around 2k with rotors and everything used..and JBT will cost me 3k but its brand new(6 pis/355/4 pis/340).... or prehaps I should get the auth kenstyle front first since I alreayd got the IMPUL sides.... and is the OEM brembo gonna make a Day and Night differences ?? I got the gt-c 19s..and sometimes I had to step very hard for my brake to stop it completely.

That is a sign of a bias lol. Get the JBT. The brembos are only better with heat. Although can't go wrong with either. I would buy brembos and put the extra money towrds F/I . Ha but thats not an option.

JBT, I think nothing makes a car look better then brakes. If you get the brembos you will probl. end up upgrading.

lol brembos are hardly for looks, they are tryed and tested brand, i track my car and I have yet to exceed the limits of brakes no fade with upgraded fluid, most other bbk are for show who needs a 12 pot caliper no one but it looks good

+1, I say save some money and go with some OEM Brembo Capliers, and buy new slotted rotors, pads, stainless steel lines and Motul or Dot 4 Brake Fluid.

I have to agree with citymunky, just get the 2 piece "slotted aero rotors" from Stop Tech. SS lines can be had thru Stop Tech or Goodrige. As for pads I t all depends on what you kinda performance you want. Fluid can be upgraded as well, but is really only going to make a difference if you are going to be auto-xing or tracking because it has a higher boiling point. Again, agree with the citymunky, go with the Motul if you decide to upgrade that as well.

You need to really evaluate what you want out of your bbk. OEM brembos is a quality kit. But it's not that cheap at $2 grand used. Hell you might even look into the Akebono oem kit that someone is developing for the older Gs. Huge discs front and rear. But these two kits only have 1pc rotors. Not bad, just heavy.
The JBT kit is more expensive but it should come with 2 pc rotors. Less weight and very qualty units. New and only about $1k more? Not too bad consider what you are getting.

You always could buy better 2-pc rotors and still be under 2Kwith OEM Brembo's.
That over 1K could go to Sways/Cambers kits/Springs or coilovers.
