Help with Brake Pads

I am almost embarrassed to ask... but I cant get the dang calipers off.......


What size bolt is it.

What else am I in for...


I have done brakes on many GM cars and on a few Nissan's...

Caliper mounting bolts should be 19mm
Sliders should be 14mm
Thats what they are on the Z (i used to be a Nissan tech)

I tried a 19... The bolt was bigger.

I tried a 1" and the bolt was smaller

its gotta be a 21mm then, thats so weird that the Z is a 19mm and the G is different I could have sworn they would be the same

Im gonna buy me a real floor jack and a new 21mm socket.

It was a 22mm...Glad I got a few more than the 21...

Now I have to get the correct pads. The guy at Oreillys asked if I had the Brembo calipers... I said no (Thought that was a performance option)

So the pads he sold me do not fit...


going back to the store tomorrow for correct pads.

Id try and see if there is a wholesale website for OEM parts, unless u wanna get some street/track pads that are performance oriented I would go with OEM if you can afford the extra cash

Sad to say this is lease car and goes back to infiniti at the end of the year...(hello new G37)

Oreillys is a pretty inexpensive fix for now.

Nice in that case dont worry about it. Did u even have the rotors machined? Usually again something I would do but since its a lease ...

Normally I would have that done but they seemed ok.... and besides turn in December.
