replacing BBK parts

I've been looking to getting a BBK for my car but I am having difficulty finding information about replacement parts.

Foe example:
I am assuming that if you have a Stoptech kit then you can only get replacement rotors from Stoptech. Or if you have a Wilwood kit, you are pretty much stuck with going to Wilwood for replacement rotors. Please let me know if this is not correct.

From what I have been reading, BBKs generally last longer than the OEM brake setup but I don't want to find myself in a situation 2-3 years down the line where I can't find parts for a brake kit that I spent 2Kplus on.

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to interchange some parts between BBK manufacturers. As long as the parts share the same dimensions, it should swap out just fine. Unless these companies go out of business, I don't see a problem in just using the same brand.

Most BBK parts do NOT interchange between manufactures. Some calipers do share the same pads and on rare occasion the same seals. However most kits and their respective parts are proprietary in nature and you'll want to work with the supplier or directly with the manufacture. Staying with bigger names or product of course can assure you of speedy and more efficient parts later.
