Tokico Dspec Spring/Shock combo
Has anyone run with this setup? It claims to have the spring rates matched perfectly with the shock but appear to be soft rates. 1.2" drop. Any opinions? Tried a search, but couldn't find much.

its a rare setup. i run d-spec shocks with swift spring. many people on here run d-spec with tein, eibach, tanabe springs. i love my setup, its a little heavier then stock
i just went with the usual Dspec- Z H-tech combo, not installed yet though.
i wish I would have gone with the RS-R or Cobb springs though instead.
I would think that for a typical driver it would still be an improvement over stock, but for roughly the same cost or less you could get the shocks/springs seperate and have better spring rates

Am I understanding this correctly? The H-tech is only a small drop or since we would be using the 350Z springs its a better drop due to weight?

On paper the H-tech drop isnt that big, but if you use 350Z Tein H-tech springs add .5 inches to the total drop. IIRC its .3fr/.2rr so it comes out as .8fr/.7rr
Heres a link to some good pictures of the effective drop:

If you use G35 H-tech springs the drop will be as listed and they actually have softer spring rates, not worth it IMO.
I've gone back and fourth on using mine with thinking about going lower than what the Teins will provide, but I think the drop will be ideal for me because I only plan to daily the car. I will only go a different route if I was to sell them before I install the complete setup.
