If you all think a hunk of metal with the same number and size of pistons magically gives a happy crap about a few percent difference in brake bias.............well then you are dead wrong.
THE CAR DISTRIBUTES AND PROPORTIONS FLUID FOR ALL OF THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IS THERE A SANE PERSON IN THE BUNCH?
I quit! no more posts!
I'm off to purchase a 12 gig double CPU smart caliper with an internal fan that monitors my cars weight and squeezes the rotor according to distribution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I mean **** what the cars tells it to do............it's magic!!!!!!!!!!

Since the fronts are being braked MUCH harder to balance the braking, and theyre much smaller rotors and have a smaller swept area, theyre going to be under MUCH MUCH heavier load than the underloaded (and much larger) rears.
And you wonder why brake bias is important.
Mines bigger than yours na na na na na na
Mike you are a class A ****ing idiot that can't see basic physics when it slaps him in the face.
All you had to do was tell the man..........YES.........as long as you keep front rear bias in mind...........YES........you can run EVO brembo's on your G. But NOyou had to go on to tell him it couldn't be done unless he wants to..............
[B]WEAR THROUGH PADS LIKE CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!
Now you have to go putting fronts on rears to make a point........STICK TO SALES !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try this
Here Mikey
http://sports.racer.net/docs/brakes.xls
I would explain how changing a single pot number or size can add or subtract as much as 1000lbs of caliper force safely having not a damn thing to do with static balance and weight (which is obviously what you dream about)as it all transfers forward during braking but I'm sure EVEN YOU with a few years of practice can figure out in a very short time how full of **** you are using this simple program.

Enter the specs of the Brembo setup off an EVO or STI, and then using the same spreadsheet, enter the specs of the Akebonos.
Note that the TOP of the spreadsheet, BRAKING % F/R is the HIGHLIGHT of the document.
Note how the percentages change, when you enter the individual specs. That is because the brakes are designed for different brake bias according to the vehicle it will be applied on.
Change in braking force, will result in a change in brake bias, as long as the change is not the force applied through the pedal.
Yes, any brake caliper can be used on any car.
NO, you do not want to blindly throw on brakes, as incorrect bias will lead to increased wear and tear, and possibly a car dangerous to drive.
[sarcasm]
Oh, and again, since brake force is magically distributed, try reversing the front and rear brakes on your spreadsheet. I guess that brake force distribution doesn't matter, since the car magically will transfer all braking force to the front of the car.
It's all so simple, why don't they just use four front calipers on every car? It would cut the cost of having to find brake force distribution, and having to make two sets of brakes, when one will do. The braking force would all go to the front anyways
[/sarcasm]

Since you seem to do a lot of bench racing, do you have any actual HPD experience? A simple personal question; I enjoy a good debate, but there's no need to make personal attacks.

Brembo® brakes
Piston sizes (Not sure on the source) 38mm x 4 front and 44mm x 2 rear
Front: 12.76-inch(324.104mm) x 1.18-inch (28mm) power-assisted - 4 pistons
Rear: 12.68-inch(322 ) x 0.87-inch (22mm) - 2 pistons
Close in alot of aspects but they don't seem identical.
Well thanks for all the break info guys... My whole thing about the thread is I assumed that people would look for different routes to getting a BBK on our cars g35 for a more reasonable price..
I do agree that the g37 kit that riverside sales is very affordable compared to those bbk out their that cost like 4-6k for fronts and rears...
This is my history with BBK's...
I have already put these EVO Brakes on my daily driver.. a galant..

I mean i didnt even have to do brackets because they bolted directly up to the car... now going from 1 piston fronts and drums in the rear to 4 piston fronts and 2 piston rears.. now thats a big jump the brakes are excellent..
I can tell you right now my galant brakes are way more effective than my g35 coupe.. yes the weight is different and the cars arent the same bla bla bla... i mean you can tell the difference regardless of the vehicle
Now as far as brake dust wear... I have little to no difference in my brake dust from orginal setup to bbk...
Second I never plan to track my car or race on tracks.. I do drive my car on the streets aggressive but I dont track my car... so to spend 4k on a brake kit is just stupid... not even practical.... I couldnt even heat up the brakes enough to even really take advantage of a race bbk..
This is why im loooking for a practical street designed bbk for street cars...
Not to mention all EVO brake parts are almost cheaper than my 05 brake parts.. and do you really think ill just be buring pads and rotors on a street g35copue??
I just want to get back on topic.. your brake infos are very informative but base this thread on a street driven g35 coupe that is looking to upgrade his/her vehicle without spending rediculous money..
This makes me in no way cheap.. I just cant justify paying 4k on a bbk for a daily driver im just looking for more practical alternative over the g37 bbk(2600)
the g37BBK from riverside with brackets are like 2700
EVO BBK with custom brackets will run at least half that if not less.. and could possible provide a very affordable upgrade for those g35's out their that want better braking power without spending large amounts of money... LOL i mean people will be ordering wheels and BBK at the same time...

Because others can be had for $400 - $700 complete and they function just as well regardless of stealership ******* bull****.
Plugsnet - Nice job on the Galant! Another fine example of good factual data and less smoke up our *** which seems to be the preferred method around here.
Blueslate - It's only a virus if YOU click on it.........makes your ***** shrink even smaller than they are.
