drove on my e-brake....
Guys,
I had parked on a slope and so i had put my E-brake on, I didn't mash it down fully but only about half way. well i've only had the G a week and so i'm not used to the E-brake being a pedal down on the floor so i forgot about it when i took back off again. when i was driving i felt something wasn't right but still didn't realize the brake was on.
I drove about 2 miles to my next destination probably getting up to speeds of 45-50ish mph and when parked and opened the door i smelled brakes and immediately knew what i had done.
Have i messed something up bad now? i hope i haven't crystalized my pads or warped my rotors from the heat. it doesn't seem to be pulsing when slowing down or squealing (yet) but the rotors are shiny looking now in the back. crap! i hate that i've done such a thing. if i mash the e-brake down halfway or so the car still moves. I have to completely supress it to the floor for the car not to budge.
so what do you think?

so you are saying the parking brake doesn't use the rear disk? hmm i thought i read what you are saying somewhere else on here. ok so how can I re-adjust the parking brake?
Thanks

Yes. The rear adjusters are indentical. The main diff is MT vs Auto. MT = ebrake is hand actuated. Auto = ebrake is foot operated.
But everything at the rear brake assembly(where you will be doing the adjustments) are identical.
Here is a pic of the rear P-brake assembly with the rotor OFF. You of course will be performing the adjustment with the rotor ON.

If the pedal goes almost to the floor or if the handle goes almost all the way up before engaging the brake, you may want to adjust.
But you're probably okay.
BTW. The E-brake and your disc brakes are totally diff so you can't judge teh conditiion of the E-brake and it's brake SHOES via inspecting your normal disc brake PADS. Just a FYI
