I have a 05 g35 with the stock 19" rims. how do I tell if I have brembos as I am buying brake pads and thats what they ask. They are grey, and do not say "Brembo" on the outside like the generic red ones do.

Not Brembos. Brembo's only came on the 03/04 coupes

 

'generic red ones'??? the brembos have a yellow/mustard color and only came on 6mt 03 and 04... this forum is full of great information... search and you will likely find answers to most (if not all) of your questions...

 

you dont have brembos

 

Brembos are gold and have "Brembo" printed on them.

 

i also have an 05 sport and found out the hard way that 03-04 non-brembo pads were not the same. a search on here pointed me to older M35/45 pads.

just an fyi in case this applies to your car as well.

 

having an issue with this aswell.. i knew i obviously dont have brembos but the ones the autoparts store keep giving me are too small. i have an 05 with the wheel and sports pkg

 

Try getting M35/M45 pads.
