I'll post pics tomorrow showing how i used the crescent wrench...so far, the bar has made an amazing difference in high speed corning! i love it!!!
Any update on those pics? I really want to see how you did it and maybe get mine on finally

^my bad been slackin on the pics. ive been trying to figure out how im going to fix this issue with clearance from the hood. basically i put in the bolt for the cross bar on the driver side first then placed the bar in the bracket the best i could on the passenger side where i could fit in the bolt half-way. I then took a BIG crescent wrench to the cross bar near the passenger side bracket and was able to bend the bar enough to fit the bolt through all the way.

Honestly from your pictures, you wouldn't have to apply as much pressure as i did to make it fit but i'm about 70% positive your going to have problems with clearance for the hood just like i am. I'm going to try and bring the car to a shop tomorrow to see what they say.

I still have my brackets installed, just tightened them down with no crossbar to save time. Ive noticed my hood liner thing is cracked and broken but the hood clears my brackets fine, is the cross bar or brackets hitting for you?

also, did you use the crescent wrench on the cross bar somehow or did you just put it in the arms of one bracket and twist it?

did you use the wrench on the side with the bolt through it or halfway through it? Also, did it leave any marks on your crossbar?

used it on the side with the bolt half way then i made it bend just enough to slide that bolt all the way through. no marks, just use a shop towel or something in between the wrench. but i now have all kinds of marks on my bar where the hood has rubbed against it...grrrr
