endlink options ( I found these endlinks)
endlink options ( I found these endlinks)
I have the clunking / rattling sound in the back by the suspension. I am lowered and I have the stillen sways. It seems that powergrid is just about the best possible choice but they are on the pricey side, more than i'd like to spend on endlinks. Its down to the revised factory or these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/G35-c...5091QQtcZphoto
They are adjustable also, fairly cheap, i'm not familiar with the brand but considering them because I know an adjustable endlink can take the preload off of the sway bar. Are a heim-joint setup bad for endlinks?
Which one should I go with? Give these a try or revised oem? ( I don't think I am going to shell out for powergrids anymore. )

The joints are the type that are supposed to wear out over time. SPL uses the same type and they have a good reputation. I went with revised OEM, not sure that I really got revised. The fronts are okay although I did have a problem with one of them and replaced it with the old one, thankfully that was the side that was not making noise. The rears just recently started making enough noise to warrant replacement. I have new OEMs for the rear that I will be putting on this weekend.
I agree that it is hard to pay as much for sway bars again for the end links. If you try these please post your impressions. The price seems much more reasonable.

it seems like my suspension squeaks every now and then from going over bumps, but i just greased my bushings and when i was under there the endlinks aren't broken or anything.. do they ever make squeaky noises?

Aftermarket options are SPL and PowerGrid. I can't remember where you can buy them but there is at least 1 site sponsor that carries each brand. These go for about $300 for all four, or $160 for the front. I can't believe how much these things cost for the G.

Sorry for all the posts but I thought I would get these links out here. These are the PowerGrid links. I researched this a while ago and it seems like people really like these.

Maybe try revised OEM first. That way if it is not the end links making the noise you have not invested a ton of money in fixing a non-existent problem and have the money to fix the real problem.
I have the Powergride endlinks and I LOVE them. They are on the pricey side but I'm a fan of doing things right the first time. They are fantastic. The car is a LOT more neutral by taking the preload off the sway bar. Noticeable difference and you can crank the sways down to stiff/stiff and not ever have to worry about an OEM endlink snapping either.
I'm very happy with my purchase.

I would not think so. The only time the stock ones make noise is after the joint breaks down. With these you can adjust the length to take the preload off of the suspension thereby reducing the chance of the joint disintegrating.
The suspension will also perform better since it is not already flexed to a degree. I think that if you are really slammed you will notice the difference in the ride, otherwise you may not.
Someone who has them should chime in but from what I have been reading once these are in (PowerGrid or SPL) the noise stops. The noise also stops if you put in new OEM links but I am not sure how long that will be good for. I have put several thousand miles on my OEM front end links without the joint breaking down but mine is not set all that stiff nor am I really slammed.
