Need opinions on path to take for negative camber...
OK....here's my situation...didn't know whether to post here in Suspension or in Wheel subforum.
1. I have Work Varianza Schwert SC2 rims on order from Japan which should get here sometime in September according to vendor (woohoo!). They are 19x9.5 and 19x10.5's offset +17 all around.
2. I plan on using Toyo Proxes 245/275 for the Work Wheels.
3. Currently, I have Hotchki Sport Coils which, according to the manufacture's specs drops the stock height 9/16" in the front and 15/16" in the rear. I have not done an alignment nor have I installed a camber kit or A arm since I dropped the car because I couldn't find a place who could do custom alignment locally until recently.
4. I have bought Cusco A arms for the front and SPC camber arms for the rear but have yet to install them.
5. Currently, I have a 2004 G Coupe non-Brembro running on the stock 18"s with Toyo Proxes.
Here's where I need opinions from my g35driver brothers...
Should I:
1. Scenario 1: Keep the car as dropped. Have them install Cusco A Arms, SPC camber arms, roll the rear fenders, install Work and Toyos, align the car.
Est. Cost: Installation 2 hrs labor for A Arm installation, 2 hrs labor for SPC camber arms, 2 hrs labor to roll 2 fenders, cost to mount/balance tires/rims, custom alignment
**this is what I would ideally love to do but I know this would cost the most
2. Scenario 2: Put the stock springs back on, possibly not needing to do the Cusco A Arm and SPC camber arm installation. Also, I wouldn't necessarily need to roll the rear fenders with the new tires/rims to avoid rubbing since it will be at stock height. Install Work and Toyos, still custom align the car.
Est. Cost: Reinstallation of stock springs 2-3 hrs. labor, cost to mount/balance tires/rims, custom alignment
**With putting on 19"s, putting car back at stock height wouldn't look that bad I'm guessing. Also, I wouldn't have to risk cracking the paint with rolling the fenders. I could save on 4 hrs of installation labor costs by avoiding installing the camber arms and A arms and 2 hrs labor costs on having the rear fenders rollled.
As you can tell, I have tried to reason this out balancing costs with aesthetics with avoiding risk of cracking paint with rolling the fenders, etc etc. For those speaking from your experiences, will a dropped stance that is 9/16" in the front and 15/16" in the rear make that much of an aesthetic difference? I know most will say its personal preference but just looking for some $0.02 on what scenario others would consider.
Thanks in advance....
