Can't get the rear rotors off!

I can't get the rear break rotors to come off of my car. I tried banging the hell out of them. Anyone have some quick insight?

Loosen the e-brake shoes? PB blaster?

Mine rears were really fused. Had to get a long 2x4, propped it against the rotor, walked to the other side of the car, and beat on the 2x4 like it owed me money.

a rubber mallet won't even get mine off . use like a iron hammer bang it like 3-4 times around the hats it will come loose ( dont hit the rotor it will mess it up)

Prop it against the side that is towards the center of the car. I used a 2x4 about 6ft long. Walk to the other side of the car and hammer the opposite end. You'll have to put some muscle behind the wacks.

I feel your pain. These are pretty hard to get off. I used a 14 lb. metal hammer and banged away, just be careful with the rotor.

try using a dead-weight mallet. it worked a lot better for me than a regular rubber mallet; there's no bounce back...
