One, maintain the stock rear spring rate of 342 lbs using G cpe springs (1/2" drop) with 3 red dots. Using the revised z springs(1" drop)(revised are the most common, the unrevised 342 spring rate rear '03 springs are harder to come by and older/higher mileage) increases the spring rate to 427 lbs, which is a no-no for my stock-sport shocks and also not good for ride quality.

Second, the fender is cut higher in the front so, using a 1" drop all around is an even drop, but it does not look even b/c it creates or maintains a squatted or sagging rear..ie it looks too low in the back relative to the front.

to the op, this is a great ride and handling setup, price to pick up here and in the 350z board:
g cpe springs $ 55 shipped
z springs $ 70-75 shipped

I have the rear fender-lips rolled just as precaution, it was not absolutely necessary.

thanks for the info, helped me out

My overall (short-term) plan is to paint the roof, lower with teh Z/Coupe springs, get some kind of front chin spoiler, and paint the rest of the lower sections DP to match the car...

Longer term is when we start saving for the wheels, NIsmo aero kit, along with coupe midpipe, angel eyes, and that kinda 'standard' upgrade stuff...

Man, I know you are 'staff' and all... but DANG, you are everywhere on here!

If you are going to get the Aero kit I would save your money and not paint the lowers.

I try to get around but you should see some of the guys like Cal. He averages 40 posts a day!

for me, painting the lowers (and the roof) will be free.... perk of dad having a body shop... so I'm ready to just go for it...

I know the lowers are textured, and they wont be slick gloss like the 05/06... but im ready to be rid of the faded black look...

the aero kit is gonna take us a while to justify spending that kind of money on anyway...

will revised and unrevised Z springs give the same ride height ?

are the front Z springs the exact same on revised and unrevised ?
and unrevised rears are just softer than revised ?

fronts are same, rears are 427 lbs for revised, 340 something for unrevised. I've heard people complain about the rear being bouncy with the revised, but it;s all personal preference

I have the revised and I do agree it's kinda bouncy / harsh ride.

thinking to go with some coupe rears.
