ummm.. how much did they charge you?

usually the dealer might charge similar prices, if so, you might want to check with them.. they will probably put back in new hardware, if the old ones are missing.

 

um they charged me 189.99 plux tax
i thought dealership charges at least 280 for it..

yea.. you might want to take it to a nissan or a brake specialist..

 

If u see that you still have brakes left on the pades, the way to fix the squeal is to use a air compressor and blow all the brake dust out. that always fixes it, trust me you dont even have to take the rims off just blow the dust out good

Word from the wise... If you want something done right, do it yourself!

Next time, your brake service is due, change them by yourself. It's easy, buy your pads or rotors from your local Infiniti dealer and change them. Most of the time your local auto parts store will not have parts for your G. You have to get them from the Dealer or online. You will save alot of money that way. Instead of paying some car shop charging you alot $$$ and sometimes they dont even do a good job. They probably ripped you off putting a cheap brake pads for your G. When you go to a Infiniti dealership you have to provide them your VIN No. that they can exactly know what parts that your G require. They probably put a wrong parts for your G. Infiniti's like ours suffers alot of recalls so the manufacturer made alot modifications and redesign parts to resolve the problems. So, different year models is somewhat different from each other. So, instead of paying a dealership or local shop for their service, put that money on a better break pads. Sometimes dealership will offer aftermarket peformance pads and rotors that are cheaper than the Infiniti brands like Hawk pads and Slotted/Drilled Rotors from (Rotora or Stillen)or you can find them online.

I think those bastards they didn't even resurface your rotors when they install your pads. So, yeah, if you do the service yourself, make sure you bring your rotors to a shop to resurface them before you install the pads to prevent glazing that can cause squeals. Trust me you will save alot of money this way, the shop will charge you alot of $$$ if they do the service, because they will charge you 2-3hr service for disassembling and assembling. So, just do it yourself! You dont really need that much tools. You just need a floor jack, wrench, vice grip, and tire iron. Of course, time, patience and common sense.
