Does anyone know of a place that sells these for a decent price? mynismo.com has good prices, but they seem to only stock 2003-2004 non-brembo, and brembo. The vendor section here seems pretty worthless too because they generally only offer big brake kits and things like that. I just need pads and rotors and stock performance is fine with me. I just want to get rid of the pulsing/vibration in the brakes. I don't race so fade is not an issue for me. I was thinking of going to Stoptech slotted rotors and was wanting to use nismo r-tune pads, but again, I can only find them for 2003-2004.
I just don't get the differences with the brake pads through the years. If you go to mynismo.com and look at nismo r-tune pads they only list 2003-2004. So it makes you think it wouldn't fit 2005. Yet if you look at the Nissan OEM pads, they fit 2003-2005. So it makes you think 2003-2005 are all them same and I could use the nismo r-tunes on my car. Then the projecu Mu NS Street Pads are listed as 2003-2006, on the rear, but only 2003-2004 for the front. Then Project Muy B-Force pads are 2003-2006 front and rear.

The 2005's have larger front rotor and pads.
I highly recommend you look at drilled and slotted rotors or just slotted from Racing Brake Inc (racingbrake.com). The 2005's use part numbers: 9161-141-drilled and slotted ($125 ea.) or 9161-111-slotted ($115 ea).
They also have some bad *** two piece rotors and big brake kits!
Racing Brake has been in business for over 20 years and has a strong motor sports history. They design and manufacture (in the USA) all of their own stuff. This is top notch quality stuff at GREAT prices! I have had Racing Brake drilled and slotted rotor with Hawk HPS pads on my 2005 coupe for over 25,000 miles. No noise, vibration or issues. The car stops MUCH better than the stock set up. I do not work or own Racing Brake, I just want to give props to a company that produces a great product at low prices.

I believe stoptech, a division of Centric, uses the Centric Premium rotors as their blanks. I got some drilled slotted e-coated rotors from R1 concepts that use centric premium rotors as blanks, and I'm very happy w/ them.

I also have the premium rotors from R1 Concepts. I am very happy with them, so much so that I am on my second set.

I just installed EBC dimpled and slotted rotors w/hawk pads on my 03 coupe, still braking in, so no reviews yet.

I ordered drilled rotors from a vendor here is a pic of one of the rear rotors:

Notice the nice crack in the rotor. This car HAS NOT been tracked.
I emailed StopTech on this and was told that they do not warrent DRILLED rotors AT ALL!
DO NOT BUY DRILLED ROTORS, only get "Slotted" or "dimpled" or both.
BTW, someone suggested that these are "cheap chinese ebay rotors" "the drilling pattern doesn't look like StopTech", well they say "Centric" on the rim. ,,,

was there any difference in braking feel after the rotor cracking? How long did you drive with the cracked rotor?

There was a slight vibration, but no other signs (check your brakes regularly!). I think I caught it quickly, not more than a day or so of driving on it.

i installed the stoptech stg2 last week with ss lines and hawk ceramics, very happy so far, i painted the rotors first and then used the old pads to take the paint off, then switched to the new pads, looks really good and stops very well(no noise at all) paid 645 shipped (wont mention vendor since im not happy with their service)

I just bought a set of F/R from DRTsprt in Ma.
https://ciscosales.webex.com/ciscosa...hp?J=927006291 .
Now I'm doing my homework on replacing the rotors.. Looks pretty straight forward.. Has anyone use liquid wrench or any other penetrating oil to help "loosen" the rotor from the hub?

Just slam it a few times with a mallet
