Discussion and Help for RA Strut Bar Buyers

I know the last 2 attempts at this thread have failed miserably, but I feel it is really needed to help out the people who bought this bar (including me) so I will try to start this off. PLEASE keep this ontopic, basically just the people who purchased one of these bars from this batch or previous owners.

First off the issue:
These 4 pages of the original thread are the only useful ones for this

You can see a lot of pictures, both of installed as well as ones with the issue (me and viceversa). If anyone else has tried to install this please let us know how it went!! Are you having the same problem as me and viceversa or was iyour experience any different at all? It would also be nice to have a count of how many have been installed successfully and haven't.

Install Help for those trying:
There is a very easy way of installing the brackets, instead of following the DIY and instructions, just jack up the front of your car and remove both wheels. Then pull down on the rubber dust boot that is around your shock (inside coils of spring) and that should give you enough clearance to unscrew the bolt and pull it out.
Next, insert the longer a-arm bolts until they are flush with the hole under the hood. Then unscrew the 2 tower bolts and put the bracket in place, matching up the a-arm bolt, then screw the a-arm bolt all the way in.

We have figured out what happened to a some of the passenger side brackets, my fabricator made a mistake in the process and used the wrong pick up hole for the C-channel (part that the cross bar fits into) in the passengers side bracket jig.
Throughout the process of perfecting these things in the past, with the very tight underhood tollerences we have made a few revisions to the jigs. It appears that my fabricator at some point in time while taking them up used the wrong pick up point (hole) on the C-channel of the passenger side bracket.

Again let people know that we have found and acknowledged the problem and are in the process of making the new brackets the way they should have been made in the first time. I assure you such a mistake will not happen again.

Again sorry for the inconvience and thanks for your understanding and patience.

What's the time frame for shipping? The initial order took quite a few weeks. Being no R&D is involved, G35Sedan when are these shipping?

cool cool. I found this post.

Well, I haven't installed my bar as of yet because I just don't want to find out that it won't fit. I spoke to Scott and he pretty much said that most likely it won't fit. basically who ever got the non F/I struts will most likely have problems. He is already making new brackets and all we have to do is return the bad ones. If I had the time I would probably try mine out but I just don't. Well, hopefully this mess gets fixed soon.
