clicking noise from rear brake

hello everyone!

it's been 2 weeks since i had the rear brake pads replaced but there is a clicking sound coming from only the left rear brake. the clicking sound only appears at certain time and when the brakes are applied.

anyone else has the same clicking issue? any feedbacks or suggestions will be greatly appreciated

mike

Are you sure it is only when you are braking and not coming from a stop? If you are AT does it do it when you shift into gear?

yeah, only when i applied the brakes. no problems with my transmission. it's pain in the *** since it comes and goes. i got a feeling as soon as i hit the dealership, the sound will not appear.

I asked because it has nothing to do with the transmission, but with your axles. There is a TSB for our cars where a clicking sound comes from the rear axles when shifting into gear and accelerating.

Do you have slotted or blank rotors? Maybe one of the metal clips on the caliber bracket is touching the rotor.

i have the oem blank rotors with aftermarket brake pads. i went to the dealer and they blamed the aftermarket brake pads but these are the right pads for my year (2005).

hi everyone, I have an 05 coupe and have the same brake clicking issue (continues click when the brakes are applied at low speed). I took it to the dealer once, they serviced the rear brakes and that fixed the noise for 2 days. Now the noise is back but only happens after 5-10 min of driving. Does anyone know the cause of this yet? The dealer has recommended resurfacing the rotors but that doesn't really make any sense to me as I don't feel any vibration.
