tein basic
tein basic
does anyone know if I can put stiffer springs on my tien basic shocks. maybe from different tein setup, like mono or supper street. or any other. any help would be appriceated. thank you. paul
Do not run a stiffer spring with Basics. Tein only authorizes a 56lbs increase in rate. But, with the amount of owner comments that mention bounce, going stiffer would not be a good idea. Only way it should be done with with Tein doing a revalve to match your desired spring. Which brings up the point, why do you think you need more then 504lbs of spring rate?
Tein Basics utilize a special tapered spring in the front that allow's the car's oem upper shock mounts to be used. The only other 350Z setup that uses that spring in the front is the SS and that setup for the Z uses a softer front spring rate. Flex at 672lbs and Monoflex at 784lbs are way out of the picture anyhow.
