Need Help: Piston Removal from Caliper
I'm planning on overhauling the calipers; I want to do it myself as everything seems pretty straightforward. The only thing I'm questioning is how to get the piston out of the caliper so I can replace the seals, clean it up, and so on... according to the FSM (http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2003/br.pdf page 36), you need to use compressed air to get it out. I don't have that at home so is there any other way of doing this(I'm open to creative ideas!)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can put the caliper in a vise, and pull the caliper out with twisting motion held by an adjustable wrench. Put a towel thick cloth material between the wrenchand piston so you dont mess it up. That what i did. i m currenlty looking to replace the pistons on my brembos but dont where to find them. The ones I have a re good but since i replacing everything anyway why not new pistons. (04 brembos, powercoated, with new seals). Let me know if you fnd anywhere i can find the piston and what size they are.

So I ended up taking apart one of the calipers. I used a bicycle floor pump instead of compressor and it worked like a charm. My pump came with a little nozzle attachment for inflating ***** and it was a perfect match for the caliper; the piston just shot out without too much effort. Just thought I'd update this in case anyone needs to do the same thing in the future.
