Hey guys,

I noticed I have a knocking noise when i shake the steering wheel either right or left when the car is off. I dont remember it being there before. can someone please check their car and see if they have any kind of knocking noise coming from the rack and pinion. When the car is on everything is fine. Maybe its normal but im not sure. Thanks

 

I have the same exact noise. I turn the car on and it goes away ( and it's pretty loud when off so I should be hearing it when on ). I think the power assist makes the sound go away which makes me think it's PRE rack and pinion.
