Am I losing my mind? (brakes)

I'm wanting to change my front break pads on my '05 2wd sedan. When I purchase the pads-and I've purchased two different brands- the pads are too short in lenghts to fit.

Has this happened to anyone else? I have a friend with an '05 and the calipers look the same so I'm a bit confused.

Please advise

It doesn't have the Brembos. It's an '05 automatic if that helps.

if you're getting hawk pads, its a common problem. Check out this thread:

they possibly sent you 03-04 5AT pads which were smaller than 05 RWD sedans/coupes.

If you have a 2005-2006 RWD Sedan or 2006 X, ask them to look up pads for a 2006 Nissan 350Z, non-Brembo. They share the same pads/rotors.

03-04 (non-brembo) are smaller than 05-06 for all RWD

05 X (AWD) shares the 03-04 non-brembo brakes

Interesting timing on this thread. I bought Hawk HPS pads from a vendor here last week and they sent me these for an 05 2WD part #HB268Z.665. These pads are for exactly what willey^^ said. I had already researched the parts and noticed right away when they came in I should have received the HB387F-547 for my front pads. Contacted the vendor immediately and they sent me a RA label that afternoon to pick up the wrong pads and had the correct pads here in 2 days. I also got a great deal on the price as well.

Thank you CVR Motorsports for your awesome service. OP, I hope this helps.
