My shocks are blown (Need some advice)

2005 6mt coupe
350Z RSR springs 1.1 inch all around
spring mount mod as well

Found out yesterday after doing an alignment my right rear shock is blown, its leaking. I noticed it while the car was on the lift and I was able to see fluid marks on the cover surrounding the shock.

I knew Ill had to change out my struts and shocks soon, since my ride got a lot stiffer, mainly in the rear and my front struts will kind of bottom out going semi fast over speed bumps. My oem set up has 78k miles on them and about 26k miles with lowering springs. Now since that one shock is blown, I'm just gonna swap out my entires shock/struts.

Did a lot of searching but just couldn't find the answer I really wanted.

My options right now are Tokico HP blues, OEM Z set up or G sport setup.

Kind of want to do a Z revised setup but not sure if that is a wise choice or just look for a oem sport G coupe setup. HP blues are nice but not to sure if I want to dish out 300+ for them. I'm on a tight budget right now...

Would Z shocks/strut be a wise choice? I know there shorter but would that make a difference?
should I just try to find a replacement G coupe shock/strut or save up for Tokico blues?

I dont create to many threads and I'm knowledgeable to the G, but now I need your help.

OEM is out because you probably need the shorter versions like the Z can offer. So the Z might be one option. OEM Tokico blues depending on their length might have the same bottoming out problems the oem versions had.

On a budget, try to get some good used Z units.

But some Z Tokico adjustables are probably the best budget choice if you can swing them

I'm in the same boat.

I just saw that my driver side rear is leaking and I'm on stock sport springs. Damn.

One gets use to oem shocks on oem springs lasting 4 years or 60k before the shocks are significantly weak, almost useless.
The stiffer the springs the more energy dissapated as heat and the faster the shocks wear out.

Important to get use to every 1-2 years depending on springs and driving style.

Some After market parts keep costing and costing and costing.

lowering that much, new shocks will be a wise choice or run your shocks until they blow like me.

I got a question too.

I am dropped on 350z H-tech springs.

What kind of shocks do I need.

Should I go with stock G shocks or get something shorter?

Cuz my ride just like OPs got really rough lately, I have not looked underneath yet to see if any of my shocks are leaking or not, but I do have uneven wear between my left and right front tire.
