I would recommend 12/10 for the average user looking for less body roll and better handling.

You can barely see the numbers here

^ These were the standard set bought from a vendor
10/8 as designated by the last numbers on the springs

^ These were a upgraded (Stiffer 10/12 as designated by the last numbers on the spring) set that I had purchased for the standard set
before opting to just buy a new set with revalved shocks and 14/12 spring rate

Number breakdown

62 = diameter
200 = length
12 = spring rate
If i'm not mistaken, those were the old design where it had a gold collar where the 200mm and 180mm springs were shorter to compensate the space of that gold collar. The newer 230mm and the new "shorter" 210mm are the fatter ones that uses oem factory rubber support in the spring bucket. If i'm not mistaken the gold collar was taken out for the clunking issues.

^ I had forgotten they went with a new design on the springs to do away with the gold bucket even though i never had such clunking issues

I'm using their new ER Type Coilvoers that have the external reservoir that still uses the spring bucket.

Appreciate it guys. This is the type of feedback i was looking for.

Sounds like 10k / 8k would suit my needs.

Appreciate the info on the shorter spring. Didn't realize that option was avaliable.

Glex, is the handling improvement between the 12/10 and 14/12 noticeable?

I never bothered with the 12/10 setup I sold those awhile back to another member who hardly post.

I just went straight to 14/12 with the re valved shocks
with my re valved shocks i can go 12/10 or 16/14 if I wanted.

You can't go from 10/8 to 14/12 without re valving the shocks
you can go from 10/8 to 12/10 or even to 8/6 if you want but you can't
go more than -/+ 2k without re valving.

I'd read that on the BC Racing website. I just wanted to confirm that the handling improvement between 10/8 is and 14/12 is noticeable and worthwhile (subjective) to you?

Are you planning on scraping rim or something??? Not sure why the stiffer spring rate is needed.......

I was doing a few autox where there were some large dips and I would bottom out, some road courses too that's why I opted for the stiffer setup so the car wouldn't dip in those conditions or under hard braking

You dont need them!!!

Unless you are dumped and run the risk of hitting your wheel lip on the fender or inside of the fender.

I'm looking for the best handling with the least body roll. From what Glex has said, it seems like the 14/12 would be worthwhile. The Tein flex are 14/14, so I don't think that BC's with 14/12 are unduly stiff as compared to other performance oriented setups out there. Am I wrong?
