Brembo in a G35x questions...
hey guys, i'm wondering how feasible this is. i know it's fairly simple( just obtaining the calipers and lines( obv rotors and pads) from a brembo kit for a RWD sedan. i'm wondering if it is the same story for an X?
also, clearance? the calipers being dual piston are obviously a bit bigger, will there be a clearance issue with my stock X rims that i run? all g35s/350z's that got the brembo kit had at least 18s, i believe.
any help on this will be really helpful on my decision with tax time coming up i had a caliper stick and run through two rotors in the rear, and the x is sidelined right now till i figure out till i figure things out. i figure i have about a week before i get impatient and go get another single piston caliper.
mods, please don't move this to the Brake section, i need the attention it will get from the X/sedan crowd here.

I'm in the process of this upgrade now. Brembo's do not fit under stock 17" wheels. The front calipers are too big. 18" sedan sport wheels fit but with spacers.
Install should be straight forward, front calipers reusing the original caliper bolts, rear calipers needing new ones. And yes you need to trim the dust shield in the rear - or remove/replace with lots of work.
As far as I know, there are no specific issues because it's an 'X', other than normal BBK fitment under stock wheel issues.

The dust shield can be trimmed easily enough, but if it doesn't detach easily this has to be done on the car... which means it wont be clean, right?
Any chance you are doing a write up of your swap?

Does anyone here change the Master Cylinder?
I'd imagine the fluid volume requirements are slightly different between the calipers as the Brembo brake equipped G35's use a different MC than the non-brembo equipped G35's?
EDIT: Found my answer here

There is a different MC, but the difference is 0.0626"...so it shouldn't be that noticable.
