I saw the pics. I only saw part numbers for the bushings that were revised.

 

Infiniti-Riverside ebay listings shows the following:

revised compression rod.
revised compression bushing.

Looks like a different part # to me.

 

the revised compression rod has a different part number however, all they did was add a little extra rubber to the bushing. This was by far the biggest design flaw on the suspension of the G/Z.

 

I ran all over Lawrenceville GA today to find the receiver and the driver socket to press them in. Went to Autozone, Napa, OReilly, Advanced Auto Parts and neither one had them. Biggest they had was 36mm.

Found only 1 Sears store that had them in stock all the way in Marietta GA. Will go tomorrow to pick them up.

Finally installed them. Took 4 hours but me and Kenny took a 20min break when the $100,000 ice cream truck came. Compression rod and lower control arm bushings changed, 3 per side. The compression rods already had the revised bushings and only one had a tiny crack in it with 60k miles on it, caused problems. Kenny was going to use a puller to get them off but I pulled them off the frame stud with my hands. The lower control arm was the hardest to install back but it came out VERY easy. Overall the car was pure joy to work on and it was very easy and a lot of fun even though it was hot as hell and my shirt and pants were soaked in my own sweat. me and Kenny were also impressed by how light the compression rods and LCAs are. Seemed to be forged.

Anyone in GA who wants bushings installed for compression rods and LCAs me and Kenny will charge $250/3 bushings per side. PM me if interested.

The car is a dream to drive now compared to before. I can drive it harder, brakes are sharper and don't skip off the rotors, cornering is sharper and it no longer "walks" on the freeway changing lanes and stays laser straight despite the car needing an alignment. Will get even better when I change the front tires and alignment. I am really impressed and surprised how a car that costs 35k new can brake and corner so well now all thanks to SPL. This is by far the best mod I've done so far. I look forward to installing and buying more parts from SPL.

Andrei how is NVH?

Only thing I noticed is that going over small cracks in the road way/reflector markers on the freeway is louder and there's is a A LOT more feedback from the car now as far as road imperfections go which I do not mind. I expect it to die down some once the front tires are changed. If it's a smooth surface the ride feels stock.

The Nismo hard rubber bushings will be a much better choice for most people.

 

UDPATE
NVH I had before died down considerably since installation. Probably just needed to break them in a bit. I also have the LCA bushings and needs new tires so for people who just want the compression rod bushings there might not be any additional NVH over stock.

Man, the engine in that commercial sounds REALLY good.

Glad to hear that the bushings have broken in a bit. Think I'm going to replace as many of the bushings while I have the suspension apart for the new springs/struts.

 

Andrei, can you still hear a significant increase in the noise from bumps, potholes, road joins or would you say that the overall NVH increase is minuscule ? This is the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger on these right now.

 

For only compression rod bushings I think it would be fine.

 

I still haven't been able to install mine. They're pressed in and ready to go just been lazy.

Andrei, is there a noticeable difference in feel?
