Review: Centric Rotors (drilled/slotted) + Stoptech 309 pads + Stoptech SS lines
I was in the market for new rotors and pads, and I decided to get Centric rotors plus Stoptech pads based on this review. After a lot of research and price quotes, I went with OC Auto Sports. I spoke to the owner, Greg, and he gave me this killer deal:
F+R Centric premium rotors, drilled and slotted (Brembo application)
F+R Stoptech street performance 309 pads
F+R Stoptech Stainless Steel Lines
All for $510 shipped from CA to FL.
Getting it installed tomorrow at Velocity Factor in Boca, I'll update with a review soon. On to the pics:

You should be good to go to try these on a whim. Its a great setup for everday driving with a little bit of added performance for those occasionally aggressive drives. My lines should be coming this week, hope to have them and new fluid in place by the end of this weekend.

I called him directly at (714)817-0000. Here's the best part: I was planning on getting plain centric rotros too at first, but they do the drilling and slotting in-house at no extra charge, so I figured why not. Good luck

if you haven't seen it, I just posted a review of a similar setup (slotted rotors vs slotted/drilled) after I put some race miles on them...its a great setup.

Go for it! I didn't get the lines installed but I still love the setup. I can't comment on the dust yet because it's been raining here so much, but performance wise I'm very happy with them. I drove in some heavy rain here over the last few days and I am very pleased, it feels no different than driving in no rain, but then again I'm not an aggressive driver so ymmv. In my case, bleeding the brakes made a big difference in bite and pedal-travel. And absolutely no squeaking. I bought a bottle of CRC brake quiet and asked the shop to put tons of it. So far so good. For more reviews, check out idrive_md's thread here.
The person I spoke with said they didn't know why anyone would recommend the 106 series for the 2003 G coupe which had the 2003 hard biting OEM pads.
In any event they now STRONGLY recommend the Stoptech 309 series even over their Posi Quiet 104 Semi Metallics.
With a greater Friction Coefficient and Maximum Operating Temps of 1300 deg F I am sure the StopTechs have good cold bite and are fade/ judder free.
What I am not sure of is how dust free these are compared to OEM or Axxis ULTs and whether they are quiet.

the 309 pads are quieter than the Hawks, perform better than Hawks at any level, but they do not dust less than the Hawk HPS. If you want a lower dust pad vs the 309 pads, I would try the EBC pads over the Hawks or try another Posi Quiet pad or Akebono pads.
Despite the dust level satisfaction, I can almost guarentee that after a couple weeks of driving with Hawk HPS pads you will be disappointed.
